Accessibility Statement

Last updated: January 18, 2025

Misewou is committed to ensuring that our online platform and educational content are accessible to all users, regardless of ability or the technology they use to access our services. We believe that quality finance education should be available to everyone, and we actively work to remove barriers that may prevent full participation in our learning environment.

Our Commitment

We strive to conform to recognised international web accessibility standards. Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across all pages and features of our platform. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification software, or voice input devices.

Accessibility is treated as an ongoing priority, not a one-time task. We integrate accessibility considerations into our design, development, and content creation processes.

Scope

This statement applies to all content and functionality available through the Misewou platform, including course pages, lesson materials, interactive elements, account management areas, and supporting informational pages.

Measures We Take

Design and Structure

We design our platform with clear visual hierarchy, consistent navigation patterns, and sufficient colour contrast to support users with low vision or colour perception differences. Page layouts are structured to remain usable and logical when accessed without visual styling.

Keyboard and Assistive Technology Support

All interactive elements on our platform, including navigation menus, course controls, forms, and buttons, are designed to be fully operable using a keyboard alone. We aim to ensure compatibility with commonly used screen readers and other assistive technologies.

Text and Content

We write content in plain, clear language to support comprehension across a wide range of reading abilities. Headings are used to create a logical document structure. Links are written to be descriptive and meaningful out of context.

Images and Media

Meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked in a way that allows assistive technologies to ignore them. Where video or audio content is provided, we work toward including captions or transcripts as appropriate.

Forms and Interactive Elements

Form fields are labelled clearly and error messages are written to help users understand what correction is needed. We avoid relying solely on colour to convey information or indicate required actions.

Known Limitations

While we work continuously to improve accessibility, some areas of our platform may not yet fully meet our target standard. These may include certain third-party tools or embedded content that fall outside our direct control. We are actively reviewing such areas and working with our technology partners to address gaps where possible.

If you encounter a specific barrier while using our platform, we encourage you to contact us so we can address it as a priority.

Feedback and Contact

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our platform. If you experience difficulty accessing any part of our service, or if you have suggestions for how we can improve, please reach out to our support team.

Third-Party Content

Our platform may contain links to external websites or embed content from third-party providers. We do not control the accessibility practices of those external resources and cannot guarantee their conformance with accessibility standards. We encourage users to review the accessibility statements of any third-party services they use in connection with our platform.

Ongoing Improvement

Accessibility is a continuous process. We conduct periodic reviews of our platform to identify and address accessibility issues. We update our practices as standards evolve and as we receive feedback from users. This statement will be reviewed and updated on a regular basis to reflect the current state of our accessibility efforts.

Formal Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you may have the right to escalate your complaint to the relevant regulatory or enforcement body in your jurisdiction. We remain committed to resolving accessibility issues directly where possible and encourage users to contact us first so we can work toward a resolution together.
